# Permissionless Market Creation

## Overview

On [Demex](https://app.dem.exchange/), anyone can create spot or futures markets permissionlessly. This gives the community a say in which markets they want to see listed or removed on the platform.

{% endhint %}

Before adding new markets on Demex, users need to ensure that the desired tokens are already available on the platform. If they are, users can add the new market they want by paying a fee of network fee; Click [here](/trade/fees/network-fees.md#permissionless-creation) to learn more about network fees.

If the tokens are not yet supported, users can add them using the [Import Token](/community/permissionless-listings/permissionless-token-import.md) feature.

## Step-by-Step Guide

Adding a new market on Demex is simple. The following articles illustrate how to create new markets on Demex (by market type).

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://guide.dem.exchange/community/permissionless-listings/permissionless-market-creation.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
