# Stake SWTH / DMX

If you are an existing holder or user of the $SWTH (Carbon / Switcheo) token, you are currently entitled to stake your tokens to earn [a share](https://guide.dem.exchange/trade/fees/fee-distribution) of all block rewards. All fees that are not split to other entities go to stakers on a pro-rata basis.

Your stake helps secure the protocol while lowering your [trading fees](https://guide.dem.exchange/trade/fees/trading-fees). You may [delegate](https://guide.dem.exchange/trade/fees/fee-delegation) the fee discount from your staking account to another trading account.

In future, $SWTH may also be airdropped $DMX (Demex) tokens once Demex L1 becomes fully live.
