Edit Collateral

On Nitron, in order to borrow and mint assets, you must hold a certain amount of collateral to do so.

At any point of time, you can edit (i.e. add or remove) collateral. In the event that your health factor is too low and at a risk of liquidation, you can add collateral to stabilise your health factor.

Before you edit your collateral, please refer to this section to understand this can affect your health factor.

Follow these steps to edit your collateral:

Step 1: Launch Demex, click “Earn” in the navigation menu and click “Nitron” under the dropdown bar.

The Nitron page opens up as shown below.

Step 2: Under the “You’re Lending” window, you can view all assets that you can have lent out at any given time. You can also view how much you have locked in as your collateral out of your total lent amount.

Click on the collateral ➕ or ➖ sign on the asset of which you wish to edit your collateral holdings. For example, here we wish to remove SWTH from our collateral holdings.

Step 3: Input the desired amount of collateral that you would like to add or remove accordingly.

On inputting this amount, you will see the change in collateral and it’s impact on your health factor as shown below.

Step 4: Click on the “Remove” button.

Congratulations! You have successfully edited your collateral.
