# Ledger

## Overview

The following instructions illustrate how to connect a Ledger to [Demex](https://app.dem.exchange/).

## **Step-by-Step Guide**

**Step 1**: To get started, plug in your Ledger device to your computer and enter your PIN.

Make sure that the Cosmos application is already installed on your Ledger, and that it has been updated to the most recent version. 

In case the latest version is not yet installed, you may refer to the instructions [here](https://support.ledger.com/hc/en-us/articles/360013713840-Cosmos-ATOM-) for guidance.

**Step 2**: Navigate to the [Demex website](https://app.dem.exchange/) and click on the 'Connect Wallet' button located at the far-right corner.

**Step 3:** Select the 'Ledger' option located at the top of the available Wallet choices.

**Step 4:** Launch the Cosmos application on your Ledger device and verify that it displays the message 'Cosmos Ready'.

**Step 5:** Proceed to click the 'Connect' button on Demex. This will prompt a pop-up window to appear, allowing you to select your Ledger device. Choose your device from the options provided, and you will then be logged in to Demex.

Please note that activation is a one-time requirement, meaning you only need to activate your account once.
