## Introduction

[Demex](https://dem.exchange/) (or Decentralized Mercantile Exchange) is the cross-chain derivatives DEX powered by [Carbon](https://carbon.network), and is designed to support any type of financial asset imaginable - from spot, dated futures, perpetuals and money markets to options, bonds and synthetic assets.
